High school students ‘taste test’ books as part of ELA and library work

High School Media Specialist Dolores Lombardo recently “cooked up” something special for Minisink Valley seniors who must read a classic book and write a research paper as part of their English and graduation requirements.

With placemats and menus set at tables, baskets of various genres of books were set out for students to “taste test.”   Each student had a menu and jotted down their favorite titles from each table’s samplings.

After sampling at the five tables, students found that perfect book that satisfied their “taste buds” and their research paper requirements.
