Congratulations to junior Brianna Foote, who has qualified to compete in the 2023 NYSPHAA Girls Swimming and Diving state competition, which will take place Nov. 17 at the Webster Aquatic Center near Rochester.

Brianna will compete in the 100 fly and 100 back after hitting the qualifying time in both events. In doing so, she also broke both school records.

The girls swimming and diving team also fared well in the recent Section IX competition. Diver Ana Albornoz placed fifth in her event. The 200-medley relay swam by Catherine Cucuzza, Megan Murray, Brianna Foote and Kessler Hirsch placed eighth. The 400 free relay swam by Brianna Foote, Amelia Bohr, Kaitlyn Jankowski and Paige Paffenroth placed sixth.
