Spelling Bees are not only fun, but a valuable educational experience. Students learn the definition, pronunciation and roots of words; gain vocabulary competency which helps with reading and writing; have a competitive opportunity; get greater knowledge through the understanding of a a word’s origin and etymology; and further develop cognitive skills and confidence!
