Dear Minisink Valley Middle School families:

We are confirming that today, Jan. 22, a middle school student has tested positive for COVID-19.

As a result, the middle school has large numbers of staff who now required to not be in the building due to COVID-19 exposure issues. Their ability to instruct remotely is not impacted, but this does cause in-person staffing issues in this building.

Because of this, the middle school will operate a fully remote schedule Monday, Jan. 25 and Tuesday, Jan. 26.

We will decide about how instruction will take place for the rest of next week by Wednesday, Jan. 27.  Please watch for updated information.

Please note: Only the middle school is impacted. If you have children in other buildings who are in-person, hybrid students, they will follow their normal schedules next week.

Decisions like this are not easy and we understand the impact they have. I appreciate your continued flexibility and understanding. Please reach out to middle school administration with any questions you may have.

Sincerely,

Brian C. Monahan
Superintendent
