Minisink Valley is “Going Gold” to support childhood cancer awareness!

September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month! Please encourage your student to be part of this effort to bring attention to the ongoing need for research and funding to combat childhood cancers!

The week of Sept. 20 to 24: Please consider donating a box of crayons/coloring books to the high school National Honor Society service project of collecting these items and bringing them to pediatric oncology patients at Maria Ferari Children’s Hospital in Westchester, home to the region’s pediatric cancer oncology unit. Gold boxes will soon be in each school building, created by NHS students!

Sept. 24: Students, faculty and staff are invited to wear gold/yellow to show their support! We’ll be creating a photo gallery to share, please email your student’s gold/yellow attire photos to communications@minisink.com!
