Most 2021 Regents exams canceled; limited Grades 3 to 8 assessments to be administered

NYSED logoThe New York State Board of Regents unanimously voted today, March 15, to  to cancel all Regents exams this year except for four federally mandated tests in ELA, math, earth science and the living environment.

The tests will also not be a requirement to earn diplomas this year and students must simply pass their course to graduate.

Additionally, only Session 1 of the Grades 3-8 English Language Arts (ELA) and math tests will be required; and only the one session written test component of the Grades 4 and 8 Science Tests will be administered.
