Parent Education Advocacy Training Series

The district’s Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Department will hold its next Parent Education Advocacy Training Series (PEATS) workshop,“Guardianship/Power of Attorney,” on Thursday, Dec. 1 at 6 p.m. at Minisink Valley High School.

This workshop defines the topic terms and their differences in addition to providing insight on obtaining either. The guest speaker is attorney Joseph Ranni of Ranni Law Firm PLLC.

In partnership with Independent Living, Inc. these informative year-long series of workshops are designed to help parents be more knowledgeable about a variety of special education topics.

Each month, at 6 p.m. at the high school, other topics will be presented. Minisink Valley PPS staff will also be in attendance. The workshop series will conclude in June 2023.
