Nov. 27 high school COVID-19 update from Superintendent Brian Monahan

This evening, Nov. 27 the district was advised that a high school student tested positive for COVID-19. Due to mandated confidentiality guidelines, no further information can be disseminated.

The names of all students believed to be at risk for exposure to this individual have been forwarded to the Orange County Department of Health for contact tracing. It’s important  these students begin the 14-day mandated quarantine period until the Department of Health advises you otherwise.

The student’s last day in school was Nov. 20 and the recommended quarantine period is 14 days from this day.

It’s equally important that parents/guardians are responsive to the Department of Health when it reaches out to them in the next few days.

NOTE: If you did not receive a message, your child is not believed to have a risk of exposure.

As always, the health and safety of our students and staff remain our first priority. Thank you for your continued understanding, patience and flexibility as the DOH begins this important work.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Brian C. Monahan
Superintendent
