Late last evening, the district was advised of an alleged text threat against a middle school student.  The district immediately called in law enforcement authorities, who quickly and thoroughly investigated the alleged threat and found it to not be credible.

We thank our law enforcement colleagues for their rapid response and investigative efforts to assure all concerned that this alleged threat was baseless.

As we do in school, we again encourage our families to remind their children about the proper uses of text messaging and technology and to make good choices when using them. Out of an abundance of caution, there will be an enhanced police presence on campus today to support the county sheriffs who are on campus daily.
