Minisink Valley logoMinisink Valley school community:

As a follow-up to my July 28 communication to you, and in the interest of transparency and keeping you informed, please review today’s communication from  New York State York Education Department (NYSED) Commissioner Betty A. Rosa.

Commissioner Rosa’s July 29 memo to school districts

Like all of us, NYSED is anxious to receive health and safety guidance from the governor’s office and the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) concerning schools for the 2021-22 school year.

The governor’s staff has informed NYSED that guidance from NYSDOH is in development and the latest guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC)  will serve as its basis.

I will continue to reach out as necessary as we continue our planning for the forthcoming school year.

Sincerely,

Brian C. Monahan
Superintendent
