Bidding is open for the 2025 High School Art Department's Student Art Scholarship Auction, which is part of the May 20 annual District Art Show/K-12 Exhibition.
All proceeds will be used for art student scholarships.
Auctioned furniture and clock pieces will be on display at the exhibition for in-person bidding, but bidders have the opportunity now to place an online bid until 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 20.
Following that, the bidding process transitions to a live auction that evening and will conclude at 7 p.m., an hour before the art exhibition closes.
NOTE: The highest online bid is not the winner because that bid will become the starting price for the live auction. The winner will be determined when the live auction closes at 7 p.m. that evening, an hour before the art exhibition closes.
"If you have your heart set on a piece, you should be in attendance at the show to guarantee the winning bid," said art teacher and auction coordinator Jenna Mc Elroy. "High school students have dedicated themselves to the restoration and enhancement of furniture pieces. Students spent time painting/sculpting and/or collaging their pieces to perfection.Thank you in advance for supporting the arts."
