Seventeen Varsity Football players each surprised a teacher or staff member they felt had a positive, long-lasting impact on them during their Minisink Valley academic and athletic careers with the presentation of 2025 “Made an Impact” t-shirts.

The recognition program is varied and sentimental, because players chose a fond memory ranging from their early elementary days to the newest experiences as a senior when explaining why they selected their honored person.

On Oct. 23, each student and a coach surprised the honored person with an unexpected visit to his/her classroom or office. Students presented each individual with a special “Made an Impact” Minisink Valley Football shirt with the student-athlete’s last name and number on the back while they told their selected person the reason why they were visiting and why each was so memorable.

“This is the varsity football team’s second year of recognizing important and memorable faculty or staff in their Minisink Valley academic careers,” said Varsity Coach Kevin Gallagher. “This gives our senior football student-athletes an opportunity to let these special people know just how extraordinary they are. We believe these shirts will always be an amazing reminder of this to them.”
