Jenna Conklin’s Chemistry students are increasing their measurement skills via their lab work! During their recent measurement skill lab, students were tasked with measuring 100 mL of water in each of the provided glassware (a graduated cylinder, a beaker, and an erlenmeyer flask). They then used weight by difference to determine which piece of glassware is the most accurate when it comes to measuring chemicals in a lab. They did this by using the percent error formula, commonly used to show simply how accurate a measurement is to an accepted value.

Yesterday’s Girls Varsity Soccer game against Valley Central was a rematch of last year’s Section IX Championship Girls Soccer game which Valley Central won, 1-0. But the game was much more than a rematch. The Girls Varsity Team honored former Minisink Valley Athletic Trainer Sharon Delmonico, who was Valley Central’s athletic trainer and who recently passed away from breast cancer after a six-year battle. Ms. Delmonico was Minisink Valley’s athletic trainer for seven years before moving onto Valley Central. See and read more on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/MinisinkValleyCSD
