With summer upon us, water safety is on every parent’s mind. Between their field day and move-up ceremony, Otisville’s graduating Class of 2019 enjoyed some water fun at the high school pool, while learning life-saving, water safety tips.
Physical education teacher, Stephanie Giufre, developed a water-safety swimming lesson to integrate into the fifth-grade physical education curriculum. On Friday, June 21, students traveled to the high school pool chaperoned by their teachers. They were kept safe by lifeguards Megan Donnelly, a high school PE teacher, Holly Pason, a third grade teacher, and Maria Fenfert, Otisville’s music/band teacher.
