Senior William Lachenal named recipient of 2020 OCIAA Tyler Muise MVP Award

William Lachenal Senior William Lachenal has been named the recipient of the 2020 Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association’s Tyler Muise MVP Award, presented to a student who positively impacts athletic programs in the OCIAA.

William is a member of the varsity football and swim teams and was selected for his ability to motivate and enhance the athletic experience of all those around him.

“His contagious positive attitude and the time and effort he put forth athletically made him the perfect recipient for this year’s league award,” said Athletic Director Tim Bult. “We are so proud of him and how he has represented Minisink Valley athletics throughout his high school career.”

Attending the “socially distant” presentation ceremony were William and his family; Superintendent Brian Monahan; High School Principal Ken Hauck; Director of Athletics Tim Bult; Swim Coach Brian Golden; Football Coach Kevin Gallagher; O-U BOCES Superintendent William Hecht; O-U BOCES Assistant Superintendent for Finance. Deborah Heppes; Johnstons Subaru owner. Steven Jardine; OCIAA Athletic Coordinator Chris Mayo; and OCIAA Athletic office staff.

The award was presented at Johnstons Subaru, the award’s sponsor, on June 4.
