Seniors Audrey Cahill and Hannah Veety honored at June 6 O-U BOCES Senior Scholar Humanities Recognition Ceremony

Seniors  Audrey Cahill and Hannah Veety are among the Orange County seniors honored for their outstanding accomplishments in fine arts, theater, music, fashion or jewelry design during the annual Orange-Ulster BOCES Senior Scholar Humanities Recognition Ceremony, held today, June 6.

About Audrey…
Audrey is a very talented artist who specializes in drawing and painting. Her academics excel and have earned her the Sojourner Truth Award in Foreign Language. Audrey’s involvement in art club, drama club, and Odyssey of the Mind provided opportunities to demonstrate her talent. She showcased her artistic abilities as the set director of the Elementary School’s play.

Audrey will attend the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) to become a concept artist or storyboarder.

About Hannah…
Hannah Veety is a very talented musician who has a special knack in leading others to perform to the best of their abilities. She has been recognized with awards from NYSSMA All-County, Area All-State, TANYS Excellence in Technical Coordination and Sound Design Execution, and the Rensselaer Medal Award. Through her participation in music and choir classes, she was selected as drum major and named “Most Musical” by her class.

Hannah will attend the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam and pursue a career in music education.
