Seniors Gregory Fratto and Madison Yager named 2020 OCIAA scholar-athletes

Gregory Fratto and Madison Yager are among a group of Orange County seniors named 2020 Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association (OCIAA) scholar-athletes.

The recognition acknowledges high school seniors who have distinguished themselves in the classroom and the athletic arena.

Greg FrattoGreg ranks eighth in the Class of 2020, with a 99.095 GPA, and is a member of the varsity swim and cross country teams.

He is a member of the school’s chapter of the National Honor Society, is co-vice president of Study Buddies and is Key Club treasurer.  Greg is also a SPCA and Senior Home volunteer and is a counselor for the middle school’s Project Cooperation.

He will attend Binghamton University this fall and plans to major in engineering.

Madison YagerMadison ranks 19th in the Class of 2020, with a 97.453 GPA, and is a member of the varsity swimming and diving, indoor track, golf and lacrosse teams.

She is captain and treasurer of the swimming and diving team and is the Section IX 11 Dive Meet record holder, the Valley Central 11 Dive Pool record holder, is the two-time Section IX diving champion, two-time Section IX outstanding diver, three-time state qualifier and a finalist placing 11th, 7th and 2nd in New York State. Additionally, she is Minisink Valley’s three-time most valuable diver and is a NYSPHSAA scholar athlete

Madison is also a member of the school’s chapter of the National Honor Society, Key Club, Future Business Leaders of American (FLBA) and the Varsity Club.  She has volunteered over 400 hours of time at Orange Regional Medical Center and is a two-time Presidential Service Award recipient.

She will attend James Madison University in the fall, where she will be a member of the swimming and diving team, and will major in health sciences with a pre-physician assistant concentration.
