Mr. Coughlin, is a Buffalo-based singer and songwriter who performs in New York City, worked with students to give them a taste of being a part of a master class. He describes himself as an “Irish, American, and folk fiddler with both an old and new age sound.”

“I liked his bluegrass music, and I liked his voice,” said student Eddie Edwards. “His song was unique.”

He also talked about what it’s like to be a full-time musician, his experience learning classical violin and fiddle, and his experience growing up singing.

“I liked his songs because they were a lot like songs I hear on the radio,” said Sawyer Rothschild. “They were a mixture of different kinds of songs, but I wasn’t expecting what he was going to say”

Music teacher Andrew Fisher  added he was grateful to Mr. Coughlin for taking the time to share his time and talent with the students.
