Student Art Show’s creativity dazzles guests and raises money for student artist scholarships

art show artistsHundreds of students, parents and members of the community admired the artistic talents of district students at the May 20 Elementary and High School Art Show, which returned after a two-year pandemic pause.

Thank you to all who made the show such a success:

  • High School:  Art teachers: Pattie Hoban-Rich, Kat Hoolan, Jenna McElroy and Sylvia Morais
  • Otisville elementary:  Art teacher Kara Welsh and student teacher Tiffany Beck
  • Intermediate school: Art Stefani Caporlingua
  • Elementary School: Ilana Kaufman

The evening also included a student fashion show, a poetry reading, video presentations of short films, video experiments and stories created by the art show artworkhigh school’s media production class and Otisville animation projects.

“Most importantly, a huge round of applause goes to all our participating student artists,” said Art Teacher Kat Hoolan.  “Their creativity and interest in art is an inspiration to all members of the district’s art faculty. And an equally grateful thank you to everyone who bid on our the beautiful clocks and furniture pieces. The proceeds will be used for art student scholarships.”
