Two seniors sign Division II NCAA National Letters of Intent

Congratulations to two Minisink Valley seniors who have signed Division II NCAA National Letters of Intent  (NLI):

“Rihanna is a phenomenal athlete who holds a combined seven school records in individual and relay events,” said Coach  Beck.  “She is a two time state medalist and two time Nationals All-American. Rihanna played a vital role in the team’s overall success throughout the years. She helped create a strong foundation for the future of the team to build on.”

“This year he brought an increased level of dedication and maturity that helped him improve a great deal as a runner,”  said Coach Ruckdeschel. “Daniel’s 5k PR is 16:59, which is a 5:29 per mile pace. This great time helped our team secure second place overall at the Saratoga Invitational.”

Added Coach Beck: “Dan was a team captain both his junior and senior years. He is a hard working athlete which lead him to be a top ranked runner in section 9. He went to Nike nationals his Jr year as part of a 4×400 team that ended up placing seventh overall.”
