Varsity Cheerleading team wins multiple honors at UCA Cheerleading Camp; 13 cheerleaders also earn UCA ‘All-American’ honors

varsity cheerleadersCongratulations to the Varsity Cheerleading team, which earned numerous honors at the recent Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) Cheerleading Camp in Trail Hills, Pa. :

  • First place: Overall game day routine
  • Second place: Traditional cheer
  • Third place: Sideline cheer

“These girls worked hard and deserve to earn these wonderful recognitions, ” said Varsity Coach Patti Archiere.  “They showed their Minisink Valley spirit and determination in all their routines.  We’re so proud of their accomplishments.”

Those who attended also had the opportunity to try out for UCA All-American honors. Congratulations to the 13 Minisink Valley varsity cheerleaders who earned this distinction!

These cheerleaders performed their “jump of choice” in addition to an All-American Cheer and camp routine dance to earn their honors.

“When an athlete makes All-American, they are invited to perform at special events across the country and world,” added  Coach Archiere.  “There are hundreds who tryout at camp. And, the girls opt to on their own to try out. They are responsible for the costs of any special events they may participate in.”

UCA trains over 180,000 cheerleaders every summer at over 3,200 sessions across the country, with the goal of incorporating high level skills with traditional crowd leading.
