Congratulations to Varsity Football Head Coach Kevin Gallagher, who earned his 100th career football win when the Warriors beat the Wallkill Panthers in a 33-0 matchup on  Sept. 9.

Coach Gallagher, who has been Minisink Valley’s head football coach for the last 18 years, now has a 100-59 record.

“Coach Gallagher is a well-respected and admired coach who would say to you that reaching 100 wins is due to the hard work and dedication of all his past and current players,” said Athletic Director Tim Bult.

He added: “But, we know it’s much  more than that.  He expects a dedicated work ethic from his players and for them to work hard to be game ready.  He creates a positive team culture so his players believe in their ability to win. He models the behavior he expects from his players and he gets them to realize that anything is possible on and off the field with teamwork. We are incredibly proud to have Minisink Valley’s Coach Gallagher join the small group of elite Section IX football coaches to reach the 100 win milestone.”

Through Coach Gallagher’s head coach leadership, Minisink Valley made the playoffs in 12 out of 17 years. In 2021, the team was the Section IX champions.
