Five middle school students receive Sojourner Truth recognition

Congratulations to five Minisink Valley Middle School students who were recently recognized by SUNY Orange with Sojourner Truth recognitions. Sojourner Truth was an African- American evangelist, abolitionist, women’s rights activist and author who was born into slavery before escaping to freedom in 1826. Voters approve $102,250,169 million 2021-22 school budget and bus proposition

Minisink Valley School District residents approved the proposed 2021-22 $102,250,169 school budget by an 892 (yes) to 725 (no) vote. The results showed 55 percent of voters approved the budget. The approved budget maintains all current student programs and services. This budget increases spending by $2,253,610 from the current year, and includes a 2.42 percent tax …
