After a two-year pandemic pause, Project Graduation organizers are thrilled to announce the return of the All-Night Graduation Party for the Class of 2022.
Minisink Valley Project Graduation is an all-night alcohol and drug free celebration for the new graduates. Through the combined efforts of volunteers, school administration and area businesses and organizations, this party gives the new graduates a safe and memorable evening on their commencement night each year.
“We know it’s been awhile since we’ve been able to organize and hold this party for seniors,” said Interim Principal Dave Telgheder. “Our seniors were just sophomores when this pandemic required us to stop running so many events. We realized that many may not even know what Project Graduation does, and how so much planning goes into creating this celebratory party for them.”
The party will be held on Friday, June 24 from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. at Minisink Valley High School and will feature:
- A DJ with music, video and lighting
- Snap shot photo booth
- Tie dye shop for students to make t-shirts
- Two caricaturist artists
- A hypnotist
- Inflatables Include:
- Axe Throwing
- Laser Tag
- Speed Light Inflatable Arena
- Gladiator Joust
- Mechanical Bull
- Toxic Meltdown
- Other sports, games and activities including beach volleyball
- Food, drinks and desserts will be available throughout the night.
“This would never be possible without the volunteer work of so many parents,” added Mr. Telgheder. “Some of them aren’t even the parents of seniors. But, there are so many people dedicated to ensuring this is a happy and successful re-introduction of this time-honored tradition at the high school. We’re thrilled to see this party return and have our new graduates celebrate with their peers. For many, this party will be the last time they’ll see many of their friends and acquaintances.”
