District to “go gold” on Wednesday, Sept. 28 to support National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month efforts

Childhood cancer awareness sign

September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month! Join us on Wednesday, Sept. 28  and wear gold/yellow attire to help bring awareness to pediatric cancer, the leading cause of death by disease for children under the age of 14.

Additionally, we invite you to join the efforts of the high school’s National Honor Society and donate crayons, coloring books and toys for pediatric patients at Garnet Medical Center.  Boxes will be available in each school building.

Call for photos: Share your student’s gold/yellow attire for a forthcoming photo gallery by emailing to communications@minisink.com by 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28.
