Donations sought for the Minisink Cares Backpack Program

The community is invited to donate to the Minisink Cares Backpack Program, which provides approximately 70 students in need with snacks and food items to bring home so they have something to eat during the weekend.

Needed donations include:

Single serve packaging, non-perishable items such as:

•Individual snacks (i.e. Popcorners, Chex mix, chips, pudding, cookies, crackers, poptarts, dried fruit, nut butter pouches, rice cakes, mini-muffins, granola bars, fig bars, pretzels, graham crackers, fruit roll ups, fruit snacks, goldfish, Cheez-its, animal crackers, veggie chips, cheese and nut butter crackers)
•Fruit cups/applesauce
•Ramen Noodles
•Cup of Noodle
•Mac and Cheese
•Rice cups
•Single serve soups
•Chef Boyardee canned goods
•Tuna packets
•Oatmeal packets
•Belvita breakfast bars
•Cereal bars
•Juice boxes
•Small water bottles
•Non-refrigerated milk

Donations can be dropped off at the high school, where students organize the food items and distributions on a weekly basis. For additional information, email to:
