Congratulations to Junior Victoria Melton and Sophomore Mia Lockowitz, who have been selected by Section IX Athletics to represent the Section and Minisink Valley at the 2023 NYSPHSAA Leadership Conference on March 30 in Albany.

Victoria and Mia, who are members of the Varsity Cheerleading team, will join other student-athlete leaders from the Valley Central, New Paltz, Warwick, Washingtonville, Spackenkill and Highland school districts, representing just portion of Section IX schools.

This conference is designed for current sophomores and juniors and is intended to help them sharpen their leadership skills and more positively influence their teams, athletic departments, schools and communities.

“It’s an honor to be selected to attend this conference,” said Athletic Director Tim Bult. “Not only are Victoria and Mia representing Minisink Valley, they are representing all Section IX schools. We’re looking forward to them sharing the important information they will learn. We’re very proud of them.”
