Congratulations to the five Minisink Valley High School students who have been named to the 2022 New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Area All-State music ensembles!

The Zone 9 Area-All State Music Festival will place on Nov. 18 and 19 at Tri-Valley High School in Grahamsville.

Selected for Mixed Chorus are: Kelsi Berghahn,  Amelia Bohr and Anya Speranza.

Selected for Band are: Nathan Samse, tuba; and Elizabeth Skalski, percussion.

Their instructors are: Danielle Cornacchio, Matt Christy, Joe Horner and Tom Stickney.

Selections are based on solo evaluation results last spring and teacher recommendation. The Area-All State Festival is comprised of the top student musicians from Greene, Orange, Rockland, Sullivan, Orange and Ulster counties.
