The recent pet supply collection drive by high school cheerleaders was a huge success, with a truckload of items delivered to Pets Alive in Middletown.
Items collected included pet food, supplies and blankets.
Pets Alive is a no-kill animal rescue organization based in Middletown. Its mission is to build a humane community supporting the human-animal bond by being a resource through rescue, adoption, intervention, education, and outreach. Pets Alive is one of the oldest no-kill organizations nationwide where dogs, cats and farm animals reside. Many of the animals at Pets Alive are older, have special needs or require special care.
Varsity Cheerleading Coach Patti Archiere delivered the items to Becky Tegze at Pets Alive.
“Thank you to everyone who was a part of this effort, ” said Coach Archiere. “We are beyond grateful and proud to make a small difference in the lives of the animals living at Pets Alive. Next year, our goal is to collect enough items to fill two trucks!”
