High school Nov. 13 COVID-19 update from Superintendent Brian Monahan

Dear Minisink Valley school community:

Tonight, Nov. 13, the district was advised by the Orange County Department of Health (OCDOH) that a fully remote Minisink Valley High School student and a BOCES Satellite student based at the high school tested positive for COVID-19. Due to mandated confidentiality guidelines, no further information can be disseminated.

As per the OCDOH, no contract tracing is needed for the fully remote student remote. The OCDOH has determined it’s beyond the contact tracing time period for the BOCES Satellite student. No further action is required.

This is another opportunity for me to remind every Minisink Valley family of the following:

  • Avoid large gatherings.
  • Wear masks.
  • Wash your hands.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Brian C. Monahan
Superintendent
