Introducing: The new Intermediate School faculty for this school year

We’re pleased to introduce the two new faculty joining the Minisink Valley Intermediate School community for this new school year!

Ms hardyAimee Hardy, librarian
Why are you excited to be joining the Minisink Valley staff?
I am excited to be joining Minisink Valley because I have wanted to teach in this district for a long time. I grew up in this district and I am looking forward to teaching with all of my new colleagues and helping the students at Minisink to become lifelong learners and readers!

What do you want the community to know and expect about you in your new role?
I am the new librarian at the Intermediate School but I am here for the whole district. If your student has a book they would like to see in the library let me know! My mission is to make sure that students and teachers have the resources that they need as well as material that will help them to become lifelong readers!!

Ms PodojilKristin Podojil, Fifth-grade
Why are you excited to be joining the Minisink Valley staff?
I am thrilled to be teaching fifth-grade ELA at the Intermediate campus this year! Although I am not from New York, Minisink reminds me of home. I love that Minisink is such a close knit community that promotes academics, athletics, and the arts. Go Warriors!

What do you want the community to know and expect about you in your new role?
Teaching reading is my ultimate passion! My goal is for kids to create a love of literature through books that may be inspiring, funny, serious, diverse, etc. by helping students ask and answer questions about the world around them.
