Sophomore Christopher Rickard advances to New York State golf championship; he’s the first golfer in 20 years to advance to state competition

Christopher RickardCongratulations to sophomore Christopher Rickard, who will advance to the New York State Golf Championships after finishing second at the recent Section IX Golf Championship.  He’s the first Minisink Valley golfer to advance to state competition in 20 years.

Chris scored a 75 and was in third-place on the first day of tournament play. After the second round, he finished in second place with a two-day total score of 157.

Senior Matthew Rickard shot an 83 in the Section IX tournament and tied for 12th place.
