The Minisink Valley Intermediate School is buzzing with excitement!  Students have decided to become part of a long tradition of kids helping kids by participating in the UNICEF's Trick or Treat program.  Pictured is Peyton Smith, from Ms. Hadden's classroom.  She was so moved by the thought of helping kids that, for her Halloween costume, she chose to be a UNICEF box.

The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has been a part of the United Nations since 1946.  Its mission is to provide emergency food and healthcare to children in developing countries around the world.  A voluntarily funded agency, UNICEF relies on contributions from governments and private donors.  Children in the United States have been raising funds for UNICEF on Halloween since 1950.

All of the students are thrilled to be involved in a program with a long legacy of helping disadvantaged kids all over the world.  Be on the lookout on Halloween night for the orange UNICEF boxes and help support this worthy cause!
