Library Media Specialist, Mrs. Spicehandler, and 7th and 8th grade Social Studies teacher, Mrs. Keppler, collaborated on a creative interdisciplinary project for Mrs. Keppler's 8th grade Social Studies classes. The classes recently concluded their unit on World War II, which they had studied from the home front. During this unit students spent time in the library researching propaganda posters. Then used the computer labs to design their own propaganda posters. The final step occurred in the tech room where each student used a t-shirt press to put their designs onto a shirt. The students wore their t-shirts when presenting their designs in class. Each t-shirt has a bibliography on the back because each student had to cite their sources. These students did an amazing job! We have some very creative minds at Minisink Valley Middle School!  Click here to see more pictures!
