Minisink Valley’s Board of Education has appointed Michael Larsen as the new principal of the Minisink Valley Middle School. Mr. Larsen has served as assistant principal of the middle school for the past five years, and most recently as acting principal.

Since joining the district in 2002, Mr. Larsen served as physical education teacher at Otisville Elementary School, the high school and middle school, before taking on an administrative role.

The Minisink Valley Central School District Board of Education and administrators point to Mr. Larsen’s proven leadership in continuing to advance the quality of education for Minisink’s middle school students as one of the main reasons for his appointment.

“Michael Larsen brings a wealth of experience to his new position, and a very successful and tried history in Minisink Valley, as a teacher and administrator. We are truly excited to place our middle school is such capable and dedicated hands,” said Brian C. Monahan, superintendent of schools.

“I’m sincerely honored by the trust bestowed on me and very excited to take on my new role at the middle school. We are a vibrant school, with a stimulating learning environment, and I love this community. I appreciate the generous support I have received from everyone, and I look forward to working with our great faculty and staff to continue giving our students the opportunities and the tools to grow and succeed, academically and beyond,” Michael Larsen said.

Please joins us in congratulating and welcoming Mr. Larsen as principal of our middle school.
