Monarch butterflies migrate from the northern regions of North America to Mexico each year.  This migration south is important because the butterflies would not be able to survive the cold northern winters.  Mrs. Wippel and Mrs. Lynn's classes are studying the life cycles of Monarch butterflies.  In addition, each class is "raising" and releasing butterflies.  These Otisville Monarchs won't need a GPS or passport to get into Mexico.  They will be relying on their own survival instincts.  To learn more about the Fall 2010 Monarch Butterfly Migration click here.
