Proudly bearing their official badges, fifth grader Logan Kenney and second grader Emma Sullivan had the honor of serving as Otisville’s principal and assistant principal – for a day.

And what a busy day it was! In addition to assisting Mr. Biele and Mrs. Downey with teacher greetings, morning announcements, lunch and recess monitoring, copying and deliveries to teachers – phew! – they had the responsibility of introducing a popular and distinguished guest to two school assemblies. It was the annual Halloween Safety day and guest Officer Anna of Mt. Hope police arrived in character as the super-hero she is truly is. The crowds were raucous but Logan and Emma were on the job!

The highlight of Logan’s day as principal was making the morning announcements over the intercom. He especially enjoyed calling out the day’s birthdays.

Emma’s favorite activity as AP for a day was visiting all the classrooms and delivering the materials from Mt. Hope Police Department on Halloween safety.

Among job perks, there was a special, private breakfast and lunch with Mr. Biele and Mrs. Downey.

Logan and Emma earned their day in office in the OES PTO raffle held during this year’s Open House event.

Thank you, Logan and Emma, for your assistance and your positive contribution to our school!
