THIRD GRADERS TAKE A TRIP TO THE HUDSON HIGHLANDS NATURE MUSEUM

Otisville's third graders recently took a field trip to the Hudson Heritage Nature Museum in Cornwall where they enjoyed two programs of exploration and discovery.

They participated in the "Aquatic Adaptations" program and gained hands-on knowledge about aspects of the work of a marine biologist. Related activities included learning to identify the myriad living organisms that can be found in a pond's ecosystem.

The "Paleontology" program gave students the opportunity to dig for fossils and dinosaur bones. They measured and drew their findings to scale.

The students had an exciting and stimulating time experiencing hands-on learning in the beautiful natural setting of the museum. (Additional Photos)
