PROJECT-BASED LEARNING IN MRS. RIKER'S THIRD GRADE CLASS

As a follow up to our internet field trip of Bryce Canyon Mrs. Rikers class made fossils out of clay.  The field trip showed students different rock forms and land formations that were expanded with the lesson on fossils.

Over the past year, Mrs. Riker's class has been learning about rainforests.  As part of our lesson we learned how plants grow and need water and nutrients from the soil for survival.  We created our own rainforest in a soda bottle.  Our plants are growing fast.
