Ms. Marie Ullrich from the Cornell University Cooperative Extension of Orange County visited Ms. Stramiello's third grade class.  Together, the students and Ms. Ullrich planted cucumber seeds and discussed the importance of agriculture to our community, both local and global. The students learned the importance of bees to the pollination process and questioned how the bees' absence from our community would effect agriculture.  Each student will take home their own cucumber plant once it emerges.
