Grant provides Middle School library with new furniture having many multi-purpose options

students reading in libraryMiddle School students are enjoying new seating accommodations in the library, made possible using a grant earmarked to help the school provide socially distant seating options.

The new furniture provides several flexible seating options, according to librarian Maggie Spicehandler. The tables can be arranged in a number of configurations to allow for multiple uses. They can be pulled apart for single person seating, paired with another or joined with many others to accommodate large groups.

All of the tables are lightweight, have wheels and are easy to move around. There are also several new seating options, including wobble stools for active learners who may find it library furniturechallenging to sit still.

Additionally, There’s also cafe tables and taller work tables, along with new sectional soft seating and “Maker Space” cabinets that help students access creative materials independently.

“It gives the library a wonderful new vibe,” she added, “and students are loving library furnitureit.”
