Julia’s message to others about the importance of hard work:
“I am very honored to have been named valedictorian and to be representing the Class of 2020,” she said.  “I believe everyone graduating this year has proven their strength through these past few months. It is important to stay strong and work hard for what you want to accomplish. Whatever it is that you want to achieve, you must put in the work for it.”

Abigail has  been involved with athletics at Minisink Valley since 9th grade, including the varsity cross country team and as its captain in her senior year; and the varsity indoor track and varsity track and field teams. She’s been a member of the Key Club since 9th grade; and is an inaugural member of the Literary Magazine, including serving as its editor in her senior year.

Abigail’s message to others about the importance of hard work:
“While I appreciate the recognition of my hard work throughout high school, I think I was lucky because I was able to study subjects that I was interested in and curious about,” she said. “My advice to underclassmen is to try and make some sort of personal connection with the subject material. If you can identify topics that you’re passionate about, the work will be a lot less tedious!”
