Otisville Elementary School is celebrating the Dr. Seuss’ birthday this week,  with students creating all kinds of crafty crafts to honor the popular author.

Held annually on March 2 , Dr. Seuss Day is a holiday that celebrates the birthday of Theodor Seuss Geisel – otherwise known by the name he used when authoring the classic children’s books available in libraries worldwide:  Dr. Seuss.

A variety of fun learning activities will supplement classwork to remind students of a passage from one of Dr. Seuss’ books:   “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose.”

During the 1990s, the National Education Association advocated for a day to celebrate reading all over the United States.
